Merry Christmas to all!

Nothing much happened in 2010 to us.  We’re setting our sights on a particularly spectacular 2011.

See you then!

================================================

Oh, okay!  I suppose something happened to us over the year, so, from the Home Office in Lincoln Nebraska we have the Top 10 Happenings in the Edler Family.

10: Isabella’s crazy summer job schedule

Who says that there’s high unemployment in the country right now?  No one told Isabella, who held down THREE jobs this summer, working at the neighborhood pool as gate guard / rumor central, watching 6 boys simultaneously during the day AND acting as Babysitter In Chief to our Dear Niece and Nephew.  All while keeping Facebook in business…

9: Chris’ promotion

Staying with the job theme, Chris got a promotion at HP and is now doing another work thingie that no one in the family can ever explain…

8: Kirsten featured in Frederick Magazine (http://www.edler.org/Frederick%20Magazine%20Article.html)

Kirsten is doing her best to stimulate the economy with her Kiki Bags business.  She finished another crazy holiday season of bags, but the highlight was being featured in the August issue of Frederick Magazine, edging out an exclusive Brad Pitt/Jennifer Anniston smooching photo story.

7: Wrath of God snow

Finally, FINALLY Chris and Kirsten can stop having to hear the constant refrain from their Ohio/Michigan friends and family saying “Snow?  You guys in Maryland know nothing about snow!”.  Well, the 55 inches that clogged our neighborhood and stayed for three weeks would stop even a Yooper.

6: Spectacular summer vacation

The Edlers had yet another wonderful vacation at the lake in New Hampshire, and the size of the ice cream cones there reminded us of the 55 inch snow drifts a few months earlier…

5: Hannah swim team

In keeping with the Edler Dynastic ambitions, Hannah was elected Captain of the girls swim team at Urbana High School and is still breaking records in the pool.

4: Ian swimming now

Not to be outdone, the 4th Edler is now officially a competition swimmer.  Ian joined the YMCA team and is tearing up the water, at least as often as he is tearing off his goggles.

3: Nicholas cops a 4.0

Nicholas took his Brainiac pills this year and got a 4.0 for this last semester.  He is well on his way to starting the Nursing program at school and doing clinicals with the 98% of the rest of the class who is female….

2: Chris/Kirsten 20th

In a spectacular display of saintly patience or complete cluelessness, on February 14th Kirsten stated that she will keep Chris for another year – making the total 20 years!  We all celebrated in style with all 4 kids celebrating with Chris / commiserating with Kirsten.

AND, the Number 1 Highlight of the Edler Year is….

1: Kirsten is pregnant, and I got a vasectomy!

Just kidding!!!!!

Have a great 2011!

Love,

The Edlers
